4. Payment and Fees
Course fees and other charges are payable in advance as specified in your enrollment agreement. All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in our refund policy.
5. Refund Policy
Important: All refund requests must be processed in person at our office. No refunds will be processed online or over the phone.
5.1 Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be considered under the following circumstances:
- Technical issues preventing access to services
- Course cancellation by UnderStand UPSC
- Documented medical emergencies
- Relocation to an area without service coverage
5.2 Refund Calculation
If a refund is approved, the amount will be calculated as follows:
- Base Refund: Original payment amount
- Usage Deductions: Pro-rated charges for services consumed
- Processing Fee: Administrative charges as applicable
5.3 Deduction Factors
The following factors will be considered when calculating refund amounts:
5.3.1 Days of Usage
Refunds will deduct charges for the number of days the student has had access to our services, calculated from the enrollment date to the refund request date.
5.3.2 Video and Study Materials
Deductions will be made for:
- Videos accessed or downloaded
- Study materials downloaded or printed
- Digital resources consumed
- Content usage based on time spent
5.3.3 Classes Attended
Charges will be deducted for:
- Live classes attended (in-person or online)
- Recorded sessions accessed
- Interactive sessions participated in
- Group study sessions attended
5.4 Refund Process
To request a refund, students must:
- Visit our office in person during business hours
- Submit a written refund request with supporting documentation
- Provide proof of identity and enrollment
- Complete any required exit interviews or assessments
- Return any physical materials or equipment issued
5.5 Refund Timeline
Once approved, refunds will be processed within 15-30 business days and will be issued through the original payment method or as mutually agreed upon.
6. Course Access and Materials
Access to courses and materials is granted for the duration specified in your enrollment agreement. Unauthorized sharing, copying, or distribution of course materials is strictly prohibited.
7. Live Classes and Sessions
Live classes are scheduled at specific times and may be recorded for later access. Students are expected to attend punctually and participate actively. Missed classes may not be refundable.
8. Technical Requirements
Students are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary hardware, software, and internet connectivity to access our digital services. Technical support is available but may not cover personal device issues.
9. Intellectual Property
All course content, materials, and intellectual property remain the exclusive property of UnderStand UPSC. Students may not reproduce, distribute, or commercialize these materials without written permission.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. Our data collection and usage practices are outlined in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Termination of Services
UnderStand UPSC reserves the right to terminate or suspend services for violations of these terms, non-payment, or other misconduct. Students may terminate services by following the proper withdrawal procedures.
12. Limitation of Liability
UnderStand UPSC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to lost profits, data, or opportunities.
13. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will be resolved through good faith negotiations. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in our service area.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
